The impressive bridge 80 metres above Höllentalklamm is, in the truest sense of the word, the highlight of this tour. It starts from Hammersbach, along the same route as the classic ascent to the Zugspitze, through Höllentalklamm up to Höllentalangerhütte.
Here we enjoy the impressive view down to the end of the valley, Höllentalanger, with views of the Zugspitze and Jubiläumsgrat, the connecting ridge between Zugspitze and Alpspitze.
Then back the same way, which soon branches off and leads up a short wooden staircase to the Stangensteig. This route stays above Höllentalklamm and then crosses it via the aforementioned high bridge. The magnificent view down into the narrow gorge is more than impressive and even gives some people butterflies in their stomach. The narrow trail continues and soon comes back to the ascent route, which brings us back to Hammersbach again.
